I
find myself in need of an organization that is willing to benefit from my
wealth of experience and “hands on” approach to the solutions that they
are seeking. With over 40 years in developing, pioneering, researching and
implementing the latest technologies in diversified applications and
business models, while others were writing the theories for today’s
certification courses, I was one of those in the field gaining the
practical experience and developing the solutions for them.
From building my
first two way radio at the age of 8, constructing an AM broadcast
transmitter for an underground radio station at 12, my first vacuum tube
computer at 14 to erecting the first towers of a local community antenna,
building the “stand alone receivers” for individual channels, line
amplifiers and even running some of the first cables to the homes for the
state of Wisconsin’s first CATV Service (the original Cable TV). Then I
assisted in designing and field testing the first “Repeaters” for local
government two-way communications in the late 1960’s that became the basis
for the modern emergency services communications and Cellular telephone
networks. Then I took a multi million dollar marina from “index card”
inventory management system to a computerized data base in the mid 1970’s.
Then developed a computerized dispatch system for Taxi and Limousine
service in central Florida in the early 1980’s. Implemented and trained
the personal in the changing of an accounting system for a major hotel
chain location in the mid 1980’s. In the 1990’s I designed and developed
all printed advertising, stationary, business cards, multimedia
presentations, office forms, and data storage / retrieval for an
international distributor of amenities for hotels. Deployed new procedures
and software suites as well as instructed personal to its use. Wired the
new warehouse and built all work stations as well as the servers for an
electronic / appliance wholesale distribution center. Designed over 200
websites, Web Administrator, Graphic Artist for a local ISP. I have also
been operating my own hosting company since 1996 under the brands of L4V
Productions / YUIOP Internet Services. Built and delivered over 100 custom
PC’s and servers.
I did find time
over the last 4 decades to work as an Auto Body repairman, Mechanic, Law
Enforcement Officer, Radio Announcer, Variety Store assistant manager,
Interior Decorator, Shoe Store Manager, A developer on a team for a major
OS system software company. Tire Store Manager, President of a Diversified
corporation ranging from Vending machines to Marina operations,
Maintenance Millwright at a Large Truck manufacturer, spent a little time
in local Politics, Electronic Wholesale Distributor Salesman / Buyer,
Owner of Personal Electronics retail store, Over the road trucking company
owner operator, Interior installer large boat manufacturer, Owner Operator
of a Tour and Limo company, Bench technician for national Electronics
distributor, Field technician for in home entertainment company,
Attractions host at major theme park, Real Estate Sales, Car Salesman,
Time Share sales and had the time to travel across the country on a
motorcycle and marry 3 times have 2 daughters, a stepson, stepdaughter and
4 wonderful grandkids that are the inspiration for my photography. This
diversification allows me to see solutions where some one else may not
look.
I continue to be
vigilant in staying with the latest advances in new technologies,
applications and hardware to provide the correct solutions in many
circumstances.
I keep a modern
office with several workstations, scanners, and servers in my home with
redundant connectivity.
I still enjoy my
photography, graphic work as well as an art form that I created in 1996.
